A small script & plugins that helps you copy objects in SketchUp, and paste them directly in 3ds Max, with the origin and texture preserved.

It works very fast and reliably, providing a seamless experience like copy-pasting on the same software.

Note that from version 1.25, Paste From SketchUp will only support SketchUp 2022 and higher. If you want use this script for SketchUp 2021 and lower, please install 1.14 version (may be removed in future).

MAIN FEATURES

Paste in 3ds Max: using New Importer or Legacy Importer (old SketchUp Importer of 3ds Max).
Clean Paste: paste only visible geometry, auto skip camera, hidden object, enviroment and daylight system.
Remove Shape: auto remove shape when pasting into 3ds Max.
Center Pivot: set pasted objects pivot to center.

REQUIREMENTS

SketchUp 2022 and higher. If you want use this script for SketchUp 2021 and lower, please install 1.14 version (may be removed in future).
3ds Max 2016 and higher. 3ds Max 2018 and higher is recommended.

HOW TO INSTALL

You must have the script installed in both 3ds Max and SketchUp for it to work. It doesn’t matter which one you install first.
In SketchUp: use Extension Manager to install RBZ file. The Copy To 3ds Max command will appear in the Extensions menu.
In 3ds Max: drag and drop MZP file into the viewport and press Install. After installed, you can find it in D95 DESIGN category > Paste From SketchUp.
If you want to paste without open script interface, use the Paste From SketchUp (silent) command.

SET SHORTCUT

In SketchUp: Windows > Preferences > Shorcut > Copy To 3ds Max (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + C).
In 3ds Max: Customize User Interface > Keyboard > D95 DESIGN > Paste From SketchUp (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + V).
